Sanl Mehmedovic and Klajdi Avdiaj Arrested in Hartford Narcotics Bust

Police Seize Firearms, Drugs, and $116K in Ongoing Investigation

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Several individuals were arrested in connection with a narcotics investigation following the execution of five search and seizure warrants in Hartford on Wednesday.

According to Hartford police, the warrants were part of an ongoing investigation into a group of individuals involved in selling narcotics. As a result of the operation, authorities seized 10 firearms, including assault rifles, 220 grams of cocaine, $116,000 in cash, and a 2018 Dodge Ram truck.

Sanl Mehmedovic, 33, of Newington, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, sale of narcotics, possession of a high-capacity magazine, and possession of an assault rifle.

Klajdi Avdiaj, 32, also from Newington, was arrested on charges of possession and sale of narcotics.

The operation was carried out by Hartford police with assistance from the FBI Taskforce, and the Newington and Wethersfield Police Departments.

Authorities continue to investigate the narcotics distribution network, and further arrests are anticipated.
