Biswanath Police arrested 25‑year‑old Sanjib Baswar of Nilpur, Dighalipukhuri, in connection with a theft reported from Milanpur on July 3. The FIR, registered under Biswanath Chariali PS Case No. 122/2025 (Sections 331(3) and 305 of BNS, 2023), led to his quick apprehension by police teams.
During questioning, Baswar directed officers to the location of the stolen items, which were promptly recovered, seized as evidence, and will be presented in court. The accused has been sent for judicial custody following his arrest on Friday.
