Sangli, Maharashtra — Sangli police have arrested three individuals, including a woman from Chinchwad and two men from Kolhapur, for allegedly robbing a doctor by impersonating central agency officials.

On Sunday night, four suspects, including Diksha Bhosale (25), arrived at the hospital and residence of Dr. Jagganath Mehtre in Kavathe Mahankal town. Claiming to be from the Income Tax Department, they showed fake identity cards and conducted a search.

The suspects seized gold and cash worth around Rs 1 crore. They also stole the digital video recorder (DVR) that stored CCTV footage from the premises.

Dr. Mehtre filed a complaint the next morning, prompting Superintendent of Police Sandip Ghuge to deploy teams to track the criminals. Due to the theft of CCTV footage, police relied on sketches to identify and apprehend the suspects.

Along with Diksha Bhosale, the arrested men are Parth Mohite (25) and Sahil Mohite (23), both from Kolhapur.
