Punjab police claimed to have arrested three individuals in two separate cases under the NDPS Act, recovering substantial quantities of heroin from them.
Saneha of Meat Market, Khanna, and Mangat Ram, alias Mangi of Bazigar Basti, Kadian, were apprehended at a bus shelter in Majri village while pretending to wait for a bus on Wednesday. A search conducted in the presence of Payal DSP recovered 410 grams of heroin and cash worth Rs 2,170 from their possession.
In a separate case under the NDPS Act, Gurveer Singh Guri of Bhadewal village was also arrested on Wednesday after police seized 6 grams of heroin from him.
The arrests were made by a police team led by Sukhwinder Pal Singh, and the accused have been booked under the NDPS Act. Authorities continue to investigate the sources and distribution network linked to the seized drugs.
