ROSCOMMON COUNTY, Mich. — Two people were arrested following a month-long methamphetamine investigation by the Michigan State Police’s Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group (STING).

On May 21, Sandra Stead, 41, of Grayling, and Peter Haverstock, 43, of Saint Helen, were taken into custody during a traffic stop on I-75 in Richfield Township.

According to Lt. Ashley Miller of the Michigan State Police, troopers from the West Branch post conducted the stop as part of an undercover narcotics operation. Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was executed at a residence where authorities seized 100 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, and other evidence.

The STING team had been investigating methamphetamine suppliers in Roscommon and Crawford counties. Stead and Haverstock are scheduled to appear in court on May 28.
