by Sophia Bennett

DILLON COUNTY, S.C. — Two individuals from Latta, Sandra D. Moss, 57, and Duane A. Reddick, 61, were arrested by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit (VAMPF) for exploiting a vulnerable adult.

Moss faces charges including breach of trust with fraudulent intent for $10,000 or more, while both Moss and Reddick were charged with criminal conspiracy and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

Investigators said that between July 19, 2023, and October 31, 2024, the pair conspired to misappropriate the victim’s funds and assets for their personal benefit. As the victim’s designated power of attorney, Moss was entrusted with managing the victim’s finances but allegedly converted more than $10,000 for her own use, intending to permanently deprive the victim of these assets.

The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
