Police in Bhikhiwind have arrested three individuals for allegedly stealing critical components from mobile towers in the Tarn Taran area.
The accused have been identified as Sandeep Singh, Maninderjit Singh, and Harashdeep Singh, all residents of Bala Chack in Tarn Taran.
According to police, the case came to light after Narinder Singh, a legal manager with a telecom company, reported the incident. He informed authorities that the suspects were attempting to flee after stealing an RRH (Radio Remote Head), a vital component used in mobile towers to transmit internet signals.
The accused were caught in the act by a team from the telecom company while trying to escape with the stolen equipment. They were identified on the spot and later handed over to the police.
Authorities have registered a case against the trio under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused were involved in similar thefts in the region.
