Sana Ullah Others Held in Rs25.85 Lakh ATM Theft in Dimapur

Rs 13.5 Lakh Recovered; Hunt On for Missing Car & Cash

The Dimapur Police have arrested five individuals in connection with the ATM theft of Rs25.85 lakh from a booth in Half Nagarjan, which occurred during the early hours of February 20, 2025.

Addressing the media on Monday, Commissioner of Police Kevithuto Sophie revealed that the arrested individuals include suspects from various districts in Assam and one from Dimapur itself. The accused were apprehended in a series of operations across Hojai, Bokajan, and Dimapur.

Arrested Individuals Identified:
Sana Ullah (38) – Hojai, Assam

Amir Hussain (41) – Morigaon, Assam

Raja Deb (25) – Haflong, Assam

Harum Rashid (29) – Nagaon, Assam

Fifth accused – Name withheld

During the operation, the police recovered Rs13,50,200 of the stolen amount, a car, and a two-wheeler used in the commission of the crime. Authorities are actively working to trace another vehicle involved in the heist and recover the remaining money.

CP Sophie assured that further leads are being pursued and that investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the criminal network.
