SAN ANTONIO — A man convicted of murder has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in a fatal break-in.

Malyk Jason was sentenced on Friday for his involvement in the murder of Corwin Davis during an attempted robbery in May 2022. During the incident, Davis was fatally shot.

Jason’s co-defendant, Seth Little, received a 40-year prison sentence last week in Bexar County Court for his role in the crime.

“Both defendants played a part in this brutal crime, and both are now facing the consequences for their horrible crime,” said Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales. “Our office is and will always fight for victims and their families, making sure those who commit such acts are removed from our streets.”

Malyk Jason will serve his 30-year sentence in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
