Kohima Police have arrested Samuel Zao, the uncle of 22-year-old Vihozhonu Zao, as the prime suspect in his nephew’s murder. The arrest took place on the night of November 4 at Samuel Zao’s residence.
During a press conference at the Superintendent of Police office, SP Krodi Rhetso stated that the Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by Additional SP K. Soriso and assisted by eight officers, conducted a thorough investigation that resulted in Samuel Zao’s arrest.
According to SP Rhetso, Samuel Zao confessed to committing the murder around 2:00 PM on October 24. The investigation remains ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
