RUTLAND, Ohio — Samuel Hochstetler has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the suspicious death of Rosanna Kinsinger, a 28-year-old woman from the local Amish community.

Kinsinger’s body was discovered inside her Rutland, Ohio home on March 13, alongside her goat. The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office ruled her death suspicious, prompting a thorough investigation. Hochstetler, who had lived with a local Amish man, Mose Troyer, for several months after moving from Kentucky, was taken into custody on May 5.

Troyer, who was close to Kinsinger, discovered her body and immediately called 911. Authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding her death.

The arrest of Hochstetler comes after weeks of investigation into the homicide. The case has shocked the Amish community in Rutland, where many knew both Kinsinger and Hochstetler.
