The Dhantoli Police have registered a case of major fraud involving an alleged investment scam worth over Rs14.24 crore.
The FIR, filed on December 19, names 10 accused individuals, including Samir Narvekar, his wife Neha Narvekar, Pratik Jasutkar, his father Sanjay Jasutkar, mother Varsha Jasutkar, and others. The accused allegedly lured investors with promises of high returns.
The complainant, Sarika Anjangaokar, stated that she invested Rs13 lakh in the company expecting a monthly return of 4% Rs8,120 per month). Payments were received until March 2025, after which they ceased. According to the complaint, a total of 61 investors deposited RS14,24,60,000 in the firm. When questioned, the accused claimed the funds were invested in a Singapore share market company and assured returns, but payments stopped from April 2025 onward.
The case has been registered under Sections 318(4), 316(5), 316(2), 61(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 3 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999. The company’s office is located at Dev Nagar Chowk on Khamla Road.
No arrests have been made yet. The investigation is being conducted under Police Sub-Inspector Krishna Wagh. Sources indicate that the company faced similar allegations in other parts of Maharashtra, including Yavatmal, Chiplun, and Pune, where investors reported non-payment of returns.
