Porvorim Police have arrested Sahil Mirza, a 19-year-old resident of Haliwada, Brittona, Bardez, Goa, during a drugs raid on February 2, 2026. Authorities seized approximately 250 grams of ganja, valued at ₹25,000, from his possession.
An FIR has been registered against Mirza under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, police said. The raid was carried out under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Harishchandra Madkaikar and SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe.
The operation was led by PSI Pratik Tulaskar, assisted by police constables Sarvesh Shrodkar, Varish Kankonkar, Viraj Malik, and Arjun Satelkar, all attached to Porvorim Police Station. PSI Akash Chodankar is continuing the investigation into the case.
