Saharanpur: In a major breakthrough, police have arrested five individuals linked to a high-profile jewelry heist at the CaratLane showroom, recovering gold and diamond ornaments valued at around Rs 3 crore. Among the accused, three are women.
The theft occurred under the jurisdiction of the Sadar Bazar police station, where the burglars broke through a wall to enter the store. The showroom manager reported the theft of gold and diamond jewelry.
Through coordinated efforts by the Sadar Bazar police and the SWAT surveillance team, authorities tracked and apprehended the suspects as they attempted to offload the stolen goods.
The leading accused, Irshad, confessed to meticulously planning the heist and entering the showroom disguised as a scrap dealer. Legal proceedings are underway, with the accused facing charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
