Sadauskas and Ceponis Jailed Over Porsche Theft Ring

Pair linked to £1m luxury car crime spree

Two men have been jailed following an extensive investigation into a large-scale theft operation that saw dozens of Porsche vehicles stolen across Greater Manchester.

Beginning in January 2025, Eidmantas Sadauskas, born May 2, 1991, and Vytautas Ceponis, born July 18, 1990, both of no fixed abode, carried out a series of organised vehicle thefts targeting high-value Porsches.

Officers from Stockport’s Neighbourhood Crime Team (NCT) identified a pattern in the offences and launched a dedicated operation to monitor the methods, routines and locations linked to the thefts.

This led to officers from the Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit stopping a vehicle travelling towards Cheshire at around 1am on October 16. The car was identified as being connected to the theft series, with Sadauskas and Ceponis inside.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a range of specialist tools, including a blank car key, screwdrivers, sockets, pliers and other equipment commonly used to break into vehicles.

A detailed investigation found the pair were present in the areas where the thefts occurred, and the vehicles used during the crimes were linked directly to them. In total, 25 Porsche vehicles were identified as stolen between January and October 2025, with a combined value estimated at around £1 million.

Police believe the vehicles were stolen for illegal resale, including to buyers abroad. The offences took place across Greater Manchester, including Salford, Bury, Trafford, Manchester and Stockport, where the investigation began.

Both men pleaded guilty to conspiring to steal motor vehicles at Minshull Street Crown Court on November 24. At sentencing on Friday, December 19, Ceponis was jailed for four years, while Sadauskas received a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence.

Several of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered, and enquiries continue to locate the remaining cars and reunite them with their owners.

Police said the case contributes to a strong year for Stockport’s Neighbourhood Crime Team, which has recorded a 43 per cent reduction in thefts and a 10 per cent reduction in vehicle crime. The team has also recently been nominated for a Chief Constable’s award.
