A 43-year-old private financier, S. Kameesh, was arrested in Walajah town, Ranipet, for the murder of K. Chandini, a 42-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil, on Tuesday.
The police reported that Kameesh, a resident of Walajah, was involved in the money lending business. The investigation revealed that Kameesh became acquainted with Chandini a few years ago when she worked at a hotel in Anaicut, Vellore. After her separation from her husband, Chandini supported her two children by working at the hotel. The dispute that led to her tragic death stemmed from a financial disagreement between the two.
The arrest follows a thorough investigation by local police, who were able to link the murder to Kameesh’s unresolved issues with the victim.
