NICKERSON, Kan. (KAKE) — A Nickerson High School employee, Ryan Stoecklein, was arrested Wednesday on charges related to child sex crimes involving a student, according to court documents.
The complaint filed Tuesday in Reno County District Court alleges that Stoecklein “promoted a performance” involving sexually explicit conduct with a child under 18, a severity level three person felony.
Court documents state that between January 1 and March 24, 2025, Stoecklein engaged in “consensual intercourse and lewd fondling or touching” with a student enrolled at Nickerson High School, where he was employed.
Stoecklein is currently held in the Reno County Jail on a $120,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
