Ryan Nalley Arrested for Two Thefts in Franklin County

42-year-old charged after thefts at Payne's Service Station and Ace Hardware

THOMPSONVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) – Ryan Nalley, 42, from McLeansboro, was arrested in connection to two theft incidents that took place earlier in January in Franklin County.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation began on January 17 after a theft was reported at Payne’s Service Station in Thompsonville. It was soon discovered that Nalley was also suspected of being involved in another theft that occurred on January 15 at Ace Hardware near Benton.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating Nalley, who was identified as the suspect. On January 24, Nalley was arrested and charged with two counts of theft. He was subsequently taken to the Franklin County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and Nalley’s arrest follows a series of thefts in the area that have raised concerns within the community.
