HAVERHILL, Mass. — A Methuen man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Pentucket Bank branch in Haverhill on Monday afternoon.
Ryan Messina, 36, was taken into custody around 3 p.m. Tuesday on Merrimack Street in Methuen. He faces charges of unarmed bank robbery and receiving a stolen motor vehicle (second offense), according to Haverhill Police.
Authorities say Messina entered the bank located at 395 Lowell Ave. at approximately 12:45 p.m. Monday and handed a teller a note demanding money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Messina’s arrest was the result of a collaborative investigation by Haverhill Police, Massachusetts State Police, Methuen Police, and the FBI. He is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Haverhill District Court.
