Hillsborough County, FL – Russell Antonio Moore, 36, was arrested Monday after allegedly killing his mother, 54-year-old Shambray Lavern Levy, at their home in Westchase.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Moore called dispatchers around 8 a.m. Monday, expressing concerns about his mental health. Deputies responded to his home on Beaty Grove Drive in Westchase, where Moore made threatening statements regarding his mother.
Upon entering the home, deputies discovered Levy’s body with trauma to her upper body. Moore was arrested at the scene and charged with premeditated first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
No further details were released, and an arrest affidavit was not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
