In two separate and shocking cases of domestic violence, Moga district witnessed the brutal killings of two women on Thursday.
In the first incident at Dhillwan Wala village, 28-year-old Parveen was allegedly bludgeoned to death by her husband, Rukhi Khan. Local sources suggest a prolonged domestic conflict may have led to the violent act.
In another tragic case from Balkhandi village under the Kot Ise Khan police jurisdiction, Jaspal Singh reportedly attacked and killed his 30-year-old daughter-in-law, Lovepreet Kaur, with an iron rod following a domestic dispute.
Both accused men have been booked under relevant homicide sections. The police are continuing investigations to determine the exact motives and circumstances surrounding the killings.
These cases highlight the pressing issue of domestic violence in rural households, calling for increased awareness, intervention, and support mechanisms.
