In a tragic incident in Haryana’s Rewari district, Roshan, the live-in partner of a woman, was arrested for allegedly killing her five-year-old daughter during a fit of rage. Police confirmed the arrest on Sunday.
Roshan, originally from Bihar, has been charged with murder. According to police, he was living with the woman and her daughter in rented accommodation. On Wednesday, after a quarrel with the woman outside the house, she left for the railway station while Roshan returned home.
The young girl was alone at the house and repeatedly cried for her mother, asking Roshan to take her to her. When Roshan ignored her pleas, he lost his temper and allegedly knocked the child to the floor, leading to her death.
Roshan fled the scene immediately after the incident, but neighbors alerted the police. Authorities formed search teams and successfully arrested him. Further investigation is ongoing.
