Stolen tools worth $1,000 recovered during arrest

Ronald Campbell Arrested After $1,000 Worth of Tools Stolen in Kinston Break-In

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) – A man has been arrested after police say he was caught with stolen property linked to a residential break-in.

Officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to a burglary report on the 600 block of West Lenoir Avenue, where a homeowner reported the theft of hand tools, power tools, and an air compressor valued at approximately $1,000.

Surveillance footage from the area helped investigators identify the suspect as 45-year-old Ronald Campbell.

Police obtained warrants and located Campbell on Vernon Avenue. During the arrest, officers say Campbell was found in possession of the stolen items.

He was charged with:

Breaking and entering

Larceny after breaking and entering

Campbell was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
