KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two men have been federally charged in Kansas City for allegedly conspiring to distribute methamphetamine during a controlled purchase earlier this month. A third individual, a Mexican national and relative of one of the suspects, faces separate immigration charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri, Roman Garcia-Parria, 37, a Mexican national, and Abraham Acevedo-Hernandez, 32, of Kansas City, were both charged with conspiracy to distribute approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine. The charges stem from a controlled purchase that occurred on June 2, 2025.
Separately, Trinidad Garcia-Parra, 40, also a Mexican national and a relative of Roman Garcia-Parria, was charged on June 5, 2025, with illegal re-entry into the United States. Authorities say Trinidad had previously been deported from the U.S. on two prior occasions.
The investigation was a coordinated effort by the FBI, Kansas City Police Department, and Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The case is ongoing, and all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
