Following the brutal murder of café operator Avinash Bhusari in Nagpur, the notorious Hiranwar gang has fractured and scattered across the country in an attempt to avoid capture. In a significant breakthrough, Crime Branch officials have arrested one of the key accused, Rohit Murke, from Durg in Chhattisgarh.
Investigations revealed that on the night of April 14, gang leaders Bunty Hiranwar, Shakti Yadav, and several associates shot and killed Bhusari. Since then, an intensive manhunt has been underway. Five individuals, including a minor, have been arrested so far, with Simran Lokhande and Rishabh Wankhede among those taken into custody on April 21.
After the murder, the gang initially fled to Bhandara, then moved through Madhya Pradesh. Realizing the growing police pressure, they split into two groups — one heading towards Uttar Pradesh, the other traveling to Tirupati via Visakhapatnam — to evade detection.
Rohit Murke had separated from the gang during the escape and was arrested during a targeted raid in Durg based on a tip-off. During interrogation, he is reportedly offering critical information about Bunty Hiranwar’s network and the current locations of other fugitives.
The murder has sparked public outrage, with Bhusari’s family demanding swift justice and the dismantling of the Hiranwar gang. Authorities continue their nationwide hunt for the remaining members, with operations intensifying in multiple states.
