In a shocking turn of events, Gujarat police arrested Rohit Kanubhai Solanki, a seasoned thief with an extensive history of robberies across several states. His arrest on suspicion of a recent theft of Rs 1 lakh in Vapi led authorities to uncover a much larger criminal operation. Further investigations revealed that Solanki, who had been leading a lavish lifestyle, had confessed to a total of 19 robberies.
The police discovered that Solanki, who had been living in a luxurious flat worth over Rs 1 crore in Mumbai’s Mumbra area, was also the owner of an Audi. His extravagant lifestyle was in stark contrast to his criminal activities, which spanned across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
Solanki, originally from Gujarat, admitted to carrying out thefts in a variety of locations. His crime spree included robberies in Valsad, Surat, Porbandar, Selwal, as well as multiple thefts across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. In addition to his robberies, Solanki also revealed that he had engaged in bribery to commit further thefts in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
