MENTONE — Roger Travus Fawley, 44, of Wabash, was recently arrested and charged with felony theft involving property valued between $750 and $50,000.
According to reports, Fawley worked for a man hauling scrap metal to a location for cash payouts. On April 15, Fawley sent a photo of a payout receipt showing $1,347.70 in cash but failed to return the money to the man’s warehouse.
After several ignored calls and blocked contact attempts, the man reported the theft. Mentone’s town marshal tried reaching Fawley but was unsuccessful.
