BELLEVUE, Wash. — A woman accused of helping steal a $30,000 luxury watch from a Bellevue jewelry store has been identified and arrested, thanks to Crime Stoppers tips.
32-year-old Roberta Olson, of Kent, has been charged by King County prosecutors with second-degree robbery and first-degree theft in connection with the November 12, 2024 robbery at Porcello Jewelers.
Surveillance footage shows a 16-year-old boy entering the store, claiming to shop for his first high-end watch. After trying on an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, he returned it briefly before looking toward the entrance, where a woman in pink Crocs held the door open while talking on her cellphone. Moments later, the teen grabbed the watch and fled alongside the woman to a black Dodge Charger waiting outside.
Store employees chased the suspects, and one staff member suffered a hand injury when the getaway car’s door slammed shut on him. Another employee narrowly avoided being struck by the vehicle.
Detective Jeff Christiansen of the Bellevue Police Department later identified the getaway driver as Patrick Maisonet, who was already facing charges for burglarizing rapper Macklemore’s home. GPS data from Maisonet’s court-ordered ankle monitor placed him at the scene of the robbery.
Police also arrested the teenage suspect at his Seattle school, where they reportedly found a stolen Glock pistol modified to fire automatically in his backpack.
For months, the woman seen in the video remained unidentified — until the case aired on Seattle News Tonight and The Spotlight. Tips quickly identified her as Roberta Olson.
According to charging documents, phone records show Olson was on a call with Maisonet during the robbery. Investigators also uncovered recorded prison calls where Olson acknowledged seeing the televised report, saying, “I barely slept. My phone hasn’t stopped ringing since the nine o’clock news. I’m getting on a flight tonight ’cause it’s bad … somebody’s about to roll over.”
Police arrested Olson on September 23 after new tips revealed her location. She was booked into the King County Jail on $100,000 bail and later pleaded not guilty before posting bond.
Maisonet remains jailed on $2.5 million bail. The teenage suspect has pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted second-degree robbery and unlawful possession of a machine gun. He was sentenced to 30 days detention, given credit for 140 days already served, and ordered to complete 12 months of community supervision. He must also pay $26,000 in restitution to Porcello Jewelers, though that amount could change depending on the outcomes of Olson and Maisonet’s cases.
