BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise Police arrested 26-year-old Robert Yorba after linking him to a stolen vehicle and multiple thefts in the city. Yorba faces several felony charges, including burglary, grand theft, and fraudulent use of a financial transaction card.
The incident began on July 10 when Boise Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from an apartment complex on Shellie Lane. The vehicle, which was locked, was reported stolen around 1 a.m. Surveillance footage revealed a male suspect tampering with a light bulb at a nearby home before taking the vehicle. The car was later discovered abandoned on North Milwaukee Street, with items missing from inside.
Further investigation led officers to identify Yorba as the suspect. Investigators found additional items linked to burglaries and thefts from the late hours of July 9 and early morning hours of July 10. Yorba was also found to have used stolen bank cards to make purchases at a local retailer.
Yorba was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail, where he faces charges including seven counts of burglary, three counts of grand theft, and fraudulent use of a financial transaction card.
