Robert Brandon Lewis Keller Indicted on Murder Charges in 2023 Stabbing Death

On January 15, Robert Brandon Lewis Keller appeared in Bulloch County Superior Court for his arraignment on a 10-count indictment related to the October 2023 stabbing death of Bruce William Dupree. Keller, 31, pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include murder and other serious offenses.

The prosecutor described the case as “brutal,” noting that Dupree, 40, was found on the median of Interstate 16 in Bulloch County with his throat slashed in a “disfiguring” manner. Keller’s arraignment marks a key moment in the case as it moves forward under the new Ogeechee Superior Court Judge Matthew K. Hube, who took over the case following the retirement of Judge F. Gates Peed.

Keller, who had been incarcerated at the time of his arraignment, is facing several charges related to Dupree’s death, including one count of malice murder, four counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, armed robbery, carjacking, and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony. The felony murder charges stem from the alleged violent acts leading up to Dupree’s death, including carjacking and armed robbery.
