RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Riviera Beach Police (RBPD) launched a successful operation targeting probation violators, resulting in the arrest of two alleged drug traffickers and the seizure of narcotics and firearms.
The sweep, conducted on Friday, was a collaborative effort between RBPD and multiple agencies, aimed at ensuring criminals on probation weren’t slipping through the cracks. The operation led to the seizure of a significant amount of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as firearms.
Search warrants were executed at the residences of 23-year-old Deandre Watts and 49-year-old Gregory Gribble. Police say both men were found in possession of large quantities of illegal drugs. As a result, Watts and Gribble were booked on narcotics trafficking charges. Additional charges for Watts are pending.
Riviera Beach Police Chief Michael Coleman emphasized the department’s commitment to tackling criminal activity in the community. “We are aggressively pursuing subjects who have victimized the citizens of Riviera Beach for too long,” said Chief Coleman. “We will continue to seek justice and utilize every resource within the judicial system to keep our community safe.”
The operation was a joint effort between the RBPD, the Strategic Investigation Division, the Community Service Division, and the Department of Corrections.
