WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. — Two individuals were arrested Wednesday following an investigation involving a stolen Toyota Tacoma and the theft of ammunition from a local store, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
Detectives identified Riley Bawcom and Ashley Decarie as being in possession of the stolen vehicle. During the investigation, authorities observed Bawcom entering and exiting Cabela’s, where he allegedly stole $600 worth of ammunition.
Bawcom was arrested and faces multiple charges, including:
Possession of a stolen motor vehicle
Grand larceny of a motor vehicle
Display of bogus plates
Carrying a concealed deadly weapon
Parole violation warrant
Authorities noted that Bawcom is currently on probation for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Ashley Decarie was also taken into custody and booked on:
Possession of a controlled substance
Petit larceny
Both suspects were transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility. No bond or court date information has been released at this time.
