NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) — A 56-year-old North Platte man, Rick Reeves, was arrested Monday night following a high-speed pursuit involving the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) in Lincoln County.
The incident began just before 11:40 p.m., when Reeves allegedly refused to pull over for speeding and running a stop sign. Driving a Nissan Altima, Reeves fled eastbound on Interstate 80, entering from mile marker 179.
The pursuit escalated quickly, with speeds reaching up to 110 miles per hour. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, NSP Airwing, and K9 units assisted during the six-minute chase.
Reeves’ vehicle eventually came to a stop near mile marker 188 at approximately 11:42 p.m. Upon searching the vehicle, troopers discovered a small amount of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Reeves was taken into custody and booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, with 10% required for release.
