Richard Wesley Turner Arrested for Forgery After Bank Incident

Tupelo man attempts to cash fraudulent check, causes disturbance

On April 23, Richard Wesley Turner, 41, of Tupelo, was arrested after attempting to cash a fraudulent check at First Choice Bank, located at 3850 North Gloster Street. Turner caused a disturbance at the bank before police arrived, prompting bank employees to call law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that Turner had attempted to cash a check that was later determined to be fake. He was initially detained for disturbing the business, and after further investigation, he was charged with one count of uttering a forgery.

Turner appeared in city court where bond was set at $5,000 for the forgery charge.
