Richard Smith, Two Teens Arrested in Biloxi Armed Robbery

Stolen firearms recovered; all three suspects held on $250K bond

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) – Three young men are behind bars after an armed robbery in Biloxi that led to the recovery of stolen firearms and swift police action.

On Sunday, May 18, around 6:30 p.m., Biloxi police responded to reports of an armed robbery in the 2400 block of Pass Road. After interviewing the victim, investigators quickly obtained a search warrant tied to the case.

The search led officers to a nearby apartment, where they recovered multiple stolen firearms and arrested the following individuals:

Richard Smith, 20, of Biloxi

Kamrin Matunda, 19, of Gulfport

Rafael Johnson Jr., 19, of Gulfport

All three were charged with armed robbery and booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, each held on a $250,000 bond, set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.

Authorities have not disclosed whether additional charges may be pending related to the stolen firearms. The investigation remains ongoing.
