PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. — A Pearl River County man previously charged with arson has been arrested again, this time on multiple theft charges, according to local deputies.
In March 2025, authorities investigated a string of brush fires near South Valley Road, which led to the arrest of Richard Dossett on arson and trespassing charges.
On November 12, 2025, Pearl River County deputies, along with officers from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP), executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of South Valley Road. During the search, investigators found a stolen tractor and a stolen Can-Am UTV.
Following the discovery, deputies charged Dossett with grand larceny and motor vehicle theft. The investigation remains ongoing.
