A Houston man was caught after reportedly stealing $10,000 in cash from a gas station in Calcasieu Parish.
Richard D. Gray, 38, faces charges of simple burglary and theft of between $5,000 and $25,000.
On September 12, deputies responded to a vehicle burglary report at a business on Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Moss Bluff. The victim said he withdrew $10,000 from his bank and stopped at a gas station and another shop. After returning to his vehicle, he found the envelope containing the money was missing.
Gray was later located and detained at a local casino.
