Richard Burrill Accused of Multiple Business Burglaries in Bangor

39-year-old Maine man charged with burglarizing Utopia, Bangor Wine and Cheese, and The Butcher the Baker

BANGOR, Maine (WGME) – A Maine man has been arrested in connection with multiple burglaries of Bangor businesses.

Richard Burrill, 39, is accused of burglarizing three businesses on Hammond Street: Utopia, Bangor Wine and Cheese, and The Butcher the Baker.

Burrill, who is reportedly known to police, was identified through surveillance footage from the businesses. He was arrested on Wednesday and faces charges of burglary, theft, trespassing, and violation of conditions of release.

He was taken to Penobscot County Jail after his arrest. Authorities continue their investigation into the burglaries.
