Two men have been charged following a major drug trafficking bust in Miami Beach, Florida, which resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics.
Ricardo Ramos and Remigio Romero were arrested Tuesday after an investigation that began in July 2025 with an anonymous tip about methamphetamine distribution in the North Beach area.
Ramos, identified as the primary suspect, reportedly moved between multiple residences to evade law enforcement and used several locations to receive drugs and conduct sales. Detectives conducted undercover purchases from Ramos, who allegedly sold drugs within 1,000 feet of Temple Menorah and several local schools.
During a SWAT-executed search warrant, police seized:
~24 kg of 1,4-butanediol in 500 mL bottles labeled as household cleaner
~256 g of crystal methamphetamine
~236 g (424 pills) of phenethylamine/MDMA (Ecstasy)
~28 g of crystal MDMA
~68 g of 2-CB
~12 Xanax pills
~32 g of cocaine (24 baggies)
~32 g of ketamine
~10 g of fresh cannabis
Miami Beach Police emphasized the danger posed by the suspect’s actions near schools. “It’s extremely concerning… our defendant had no regard for the lives of our residents and the lives of little kids going to school,” said spokesman Christopher Bess.
Ramos faces multiple charges related to drug trafficking, including selling controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school. Charges for Romero have not been released.
Police also recovered seven cellphones believed to be connected to multiple fraud cases. Authorities noted that the investigation remains ongoing.
Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones highlighted the coordination between local and federal agencies and thanked community members who provided information to keep the area safe.
