SOUTHFIELD, MI (FOX 2) — A 61-year-old woman, Rhonda Hahn, has been arrested for running a massage parlor that secretly operated as a front for prostitution for over a decade.
In February, Southfield police, in collaboration with a human trafficking task force, executed a search warrant at the Pressure Point Massage located on 12 Mile in Southfield. Authorities were responding to a complaint about prostitution, which followed a series of successful investigations into human trafficking rings in Oakland and Macomb counties.
At the time of the search, Hahn was caught in the act, servicing a male client. Police interviewed both Hahn and the client, who confirmed that they had discussed payment before the officers arrived. The man told authorities that Hahn had begun performing sexual acts on him while initially providing a back massage.
Hahn, who admitted to running the business for 25 years and providing sexual services for the past 10 years, was arrested and charged with prostitution, human trafficking enterprise, keeping a house of prostitution, and causing injury or resulting in commercial sexual activity.
Hahn was given a $1,500 cash surety bond for the state charges and an additional $500 bond for operating a business without a license. Police also arrested a receptionist at the parlor. While she denied offering sexual services, an investigation into her social media showed she had advertised such activities. The receptionist was found with nearly $1,000 in cash and a cell phone, both of which were seized by police.
Although the receptionist has not been charged, police remain skeptical of her claims of ignorance regarding the illegal activities at the business. The FBI, which is part of the task force, is still investigating the extent of Hahn’s operations, including how much money she made from the illicit services.
