ORLAND, IND. (WPTA) — Rodger Strong, a 69-year-old retired pastor, has been arrested on multiple child molestation charges, court records reveal.
Allegations and Investigation
Strong, who served as a pastor for 40 years, is accused of molesting a 5-year-old girl on five occasions between Jan. 1, 2024, and May 7, 2024. The victim’s mother reported the abuse on March 5, 2025, leading to a police investigation.
When questioned on March 7, Strong initially denied wrongdoing but later admitted to the abuse, according to a probable cause affidavit. At the time, he had been serving at the Orland Church of the Nazarene and was planning to retire that Sunday.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Strong has been charged with three counts of Level 1 felony child molestation and two counts of Level 4 felony child molestation. If convicted, he faces severe legal consequences.
Authorities are continuing their investigation, and Strong remains in custody as he awaits trial.
