In a disturbing incident in Kerala, Adoor Police on Sunday arrested 46-year-old Reny Roy on charges of raping a home nurse who was taking care of his 70-year-old bedridden mother in Pathanamthitta. The accused was apprehended from his workplace in Ernakulam.
According to police reports, Roy and his friends arrived at his home at night a few days ago. Under the influence of alcohol, he sexually assaulted the home nurse and then left for Ernakulam. With no one available to care for the elderly woman, the survivor remained in the house for two more days before returning to her own home.
After reaching her home, the victim filed a complaint with Adoor Police, prompting immediate action. Roy was produced in court and remanded in judicial custody.
Authorities emphasized the seriousness of the crime and assured that further investigation is ongoing.
