Kukatpally police brought the three accused in the Renuka Agarwal murder case to Hyderabad on Monday. The accused—Harsh Kumar (20), Roshan Singh (22), and his cousin Raju Varma (19), all from Ranchi—were produced before a local court on a transit warrant and sent to Kandi jail in Sangareddy district for judicial remand, according to Balanagar DCP K Suresh Kumar.

Police officials confirmed they will file a petition seeking custody of the trio for further interrogation, evidence collection, and crime scene reconstruction. “We will seek their custody,” the DCP said.

Harsh Kumar, who worked as domestic help at Renuka’s flat in Swan Lake Apartments, Kukatpally, allegedly murdered the 50-year-old woman on September 10 when she was alone. Roshan Singh, employed as domestic help in another flat in the same complex, assisted in the crime.

Following the murder, the duo fled to Ranchi in a taxi from Secunderabad, stealing Renuka’s jewellery. Roshan’s cousin, Raju Varma, financially aided their escape and provided shelter upon their arrival on September 11.

Acting on a tip from the taxi driver, police arrested the trio on the night of September 13 and brought them back to Hyderabad for further legal action.
