Reginald Scott Brown Arrested for Stolen Vehicle in Iredell County

38-year-old faces felony charges after stealing and abandoning vehicle

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Reginald Scott Brown, a 38-year-old man from Kannapolis, was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers on April 14, 2025, after being charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle.

The case began on March 10, 2025, when Iredell County Deputies responded to a reported vehicle theft at a residence on the East Memorial Highway in Harmony. The homeowner informed authorities that their vehicle had been stolen from the driveway while they were away.

On April 14, a Detective learned that the stolen vehicle had been found abandoned in the parking lot of a Mocksville business. The vehicle was towed and stored at a local wrecker service’s facility, where investigators searched the vehicle for any potential evidence. Evidence collected during the search linked Reginald Scott Brown to the theft.

Following the discovery, a warrant was issued for Brown’s arrest. He was quickly located and taken into custody without incident. Brown was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a $10,000 secured bond.

Brown’s District Court appearance is scheduled for May 19, 2025, to face the felony charge of vehicle theft. Additionally, he has a court appearance set for May 7, 2025, to address felony charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.
