TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Tallahassee woman has been arrested after authorities say she stole more than half a million dollars from her employer over several years.
According to court records, Regina Peacock faces charges of grand theft and organized fraud stemming from her alleged actions while working as an office manager at a local doctor’s office.
Investigators say Peacock manipulated the company’s payroll system by creating duplicate employee profiles, allowing her to collect unauthorized additional payments. Arrest documents state the scheme occurred between January 2018 and March 2025.
During that time, Peacock allegedly paid herself approximately $509,633, according to investigators.
Peacock reportedly told authorities that the extra money was used to help support a homeless woman over several years. Officials have not indicated whether that claim has been verified.
The case remains under review as the legal process moves forward.
