LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man accused of killing two people in a deadly Derby Day shooting appeared in court on Monday.
Reggie Raheem, 28, has been indicted on two counts of murder following a May 3 shooting in the parking lot of a Kroger located at 28th Street and Broadway. According to police, officers arrived around 2:10 a.m. and found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to the hospital, where they later died.
A third victim was also taken to the hospital by private means, but Raheem is not charged in that shooting. Louisville Metro Police say they are still searching for the person responsible for injuring the third victim.
During Raheem’s arraignment on Monday, a judge set his bond at $500,000.
He is scheduled to return to court in January.
