HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — A 43-year-old Hendersonville woman has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including drug trafficking and theft.
Rebecca Lynn Luna pleaded guilty on May 12, 2025, to one count of trafficking fentanyl, two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, and several other felony offenses, including:
Possession of a controlled substance while in jail
Felony breaking and entering
Larceny after breaking and entering
Possession of stolen goods
Felony conspiracy
Superior Court Judge Robert C. Ervin sentenced Luna to a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.
According to a May 15 press release from District Attorney Andrew Murray, the charges stem from a series of incidents beginning on March 1, when Hendersonville Police responded to a theft report at Cascade Mountain Resort. The investigation linked the stolen items to Luna.
While in custody that day, Luna permitted a search before using the restroom. Police found 33.66 grams of methamphetamine and 6.94 grams of fentanyl—both trafficking amounts—on her.
Just three days later, Luna was arrested again on Main Street while out on bond. Police discovered drug paraphernalia in her vehicle and, after a search at the Henderson County Detention Center, found 85.58 grams of methamphetamine concealed inside her body.
On March 13, Luna confessed to breaking into multiple storage units at 1931 Spartanburg Highway and stealing items in collaboration with others. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office recovered many of the stolen goods.
Luna will serve her sentence in state prison and remains in custody.
