Brazilian influencer accused of extorting money from men via fake call girl scheme

Rayene Lima, a Brazilian influencer, has been identified by Rio de Janeiro police as the mastermind behind a fake call girl scam that extorted money from at least 31 men. Authorities claim Lima used the funds she allegedly obtained through the scam to finance cosmetic surgeries, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

While many influencers struggle to turn social media success into real income, Lima reportedly found a more devious way to fund her lifestyle. Investigators with the Civil Police have accused Lima of targeting men through messaging apps, convincing them to send compromising photos of themselves.

In one of her videos, Lima is said to brag about her cosmetic procedures, saying, “I had rhinoplasty, a cheek lift, my dark circles done, liposuction, and now I’m getting silicone implants.” The influencer’s lavish spending on cosmetic work allegedly prompted her to devise a scam, targeting vulnerable men for cash.

Once Lima’s team received the compromising photos, the scammers allegedly blackmailed the victims, demanding between $100 and $600. Authorities have arrested her brother, Ryan Lima, and her cousin, Sarah Borges, but Rayene Lima remains elusive.

As of now, Lima has not posted anything on her Instagram account, and authorities are continuing their search for the influencer. This case serves as a reminder to never send compromising images, even to those who appear to be legitimate call girls, as they could be used against you.
