MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis rapper, known as Boo Two Gunz, was arrested Tuesday in connection with a deadly gas station shootout last month in Frayser, according to police records. A second rapper, YNC TraiSlime, is still being sought by authorities.

The incident happened on May 18 at a gas station on Range Line Road. According to Memphis Police Department (MPD), three armed individuals robbed a man of his gun and opened fire on him and a friend, leading to a shootout. A man, later identified as Keyshun Thomas, was killed in the crossfire, but police confirmed he was not involved in the gunfight.

Witnesses identified two of the suspects as local rappers Andre Scott (19), also known as Boo Two Gunz, and Robert Mitchell (23), known as YNC TraiSlime. Court documents show Scott was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder. Investigators linked him to the scene through fingerprints found on a Sprite case at the gas station.

Scott has a criminal history. He was charged with attempted murder in 2022, and was again arrested in early 2024 after being found with stolen vehicles, guns, and drugs. That case was dismissed for lack of probable cause.

Mitchell remains on the run, and police say a third unidentified suspect is also wanted.

Mitchell has also faced multiple stolen car charges, including a 2022 case where he reportedly tried to resell a stolen vehicle to its original owner. Notably, he later used his own mugshot from that arrest as the cover art for a music release.
