In a major narcotics operation, Nagpur police seized 533 grams of MD drugs valued at over Rs 53 lakh and arrested two men from Rajasthan.
The operation was launched after intelligence indicated that the suspects planned to sell MD (ecstasy) near Sangam Road in Wanadongri. Acting on the information, officers intercepted Ramswaroop Bhairaram Bishnoi (24) and Hariram Jagdish Paliwal (31), both residents of Kalyanpur tehsil in Balotra district, Rajasthan.
The accused were found in possession of the drugs, leading to the registration of a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Investigations are ongoing to trace suppliers and additional links in the drug distribution network.
